Alright so as some of you may now, I just recently picked up my first supra :) but with my luck I picked a lemon. I drove it 8 hours home and had a rod bearing spin on me. I had already talked to the importer before I left for home because it was running funny and he agreed to send me a new motor.

Long story short I am building the current motor for boost and dropping the new motor into the car so i can drive it. now lets get to the pics!

Here is the car 20 mins into taking it apart, don't mind the mess I have many things on the go atm.

Here is how the motor currently sits.

here are just a few things the TSRM said would have to come off, except the heat shield. I was looking for a ground wire, its under the intake manifold...

And lastly the first of the parts for my na-t build.

Thanks Slowsupra I am really hoping to learn a lot about this car. I have already learned quite a bit but I am definitely ready for some of the bigger stuff.

Oh don't worry I will be lol thinking a 1.3mm.

But time for some updates, I got the motor out and with that comes some great news. The underside of my car looks like it just rolled off the show room floor. No rust, and I can still make out all the part numbers on all my parts. Got the motor onto a stand... then it tipped over onto my leg, may have broke my leg so I am going for x rays tomorrow morning. So now updates may be a little slow the next few weeks.

And for anyone having troubles or issues getting their crank pulley bolt off, all you need to do is have the motor on the stand, and then put a snipe in between the flywheel and motor stand. Get a breaker bar and go at it. Mine came off without any issues and I did not land on my butt like I read about a lot lol.

I will post pics up tomorrow when its sunny outside and I can actually take decent pics.

Trust me man, I have barely been moving haha. Oh well gives me time to research and study the parts I am looking at. Also I have a quick question, if I want to delete my distributor cap, I have to have a stand alone ecu correct?

Alright so heres the damage, no broken bones but I have a stupid amount of tissue damage, torn ligaments, and bruised muscles in my knee. The x rays show that my femur and my tibia are spaced out a good 1/2" more then normal. The doctor also told me he does not know how I have been walking on it for 2 days. So unfortunately I wont be doing anything for the next 14 days. I will try to get pics up as soon as possible.

LMFAO agree'd man. It was actually kind of funny because before I left for home with the car I said " now watch as soon as I get home its motor will blow, giving me an excuse to boost it " . Oh well i like this kind of stuff so we will see how she goes. :)

ps. i like pancakes too haha.

Alright got a lot of progress done with my cousins help, got the head almost off the motor until we ran into a small problem. Toyota requires a 12mm bi-hexagonal ( or triple square depending on where you purchase it ) to remove the factory head studs. And because I am house bound for another week at the least, The head will just have to stay on. So in the mean time I began cleaning up 18 years of caked on grease and oil. So far I have cleaned the Idler Pulley, and the small metal piece that goes in between the valve covers and above the spark plugs. I will post up pics as soon as they are loaded onto photobucket.

thanks for reading

I wouldn't go NA-T especially considering your JDM which means you don't need to cut up the harness but it's your car.
I love how everyone ignored you. It seems your reputation proceeds you.

Goodluck man. If you need any help, let me know. I have done this quite a few times. I remember when I first say that 12mm bi-hexagonal head stud. I was like.....really toyota? Then I thought, meh could be worse. At least we aren't popping headgaskets like the MKIIIs.
