what kind of price are we looking at to get something like this built ? I'd personally go with a different choice of subs so this box would not be the one for me, plus i hope to get a black interior'd supra..what kinda price are we looking at for something exactly like this..

how much are you asking- and what about shipping-would this be difficult to install and would i have to make modifications to the hatch? email me at [email protected]
thanx
How much do you want for the set-up. Where the hell do you put your targa now?
$1000 for vinyl and plywood??? I doubt someone would pay that much for your box.
I am sorry about the lack of information.... Let me say a few things about this sub enclosure that might clear up any questions.

1. There is absolutely no loss of stock targa storage at all! That is the reason the box curves and dips at certain places. It allows for the absolute maximum internal airspace BUT still maintain all targa storage.

2. There is no modifications to the car that need to be done.

3. You must remove the spare tire, the tools, foam, carpet and stock subwoofer assembly.

4. The entire assembly is made of vinyl, V-Block, fiberglass, bondo, MDF, lexan and flexible plywood. Spent close to a year on and off building it.

5. With a Rockford Punch 800.2 powering the 3-JL 10W3D6's it has hit 143.5db on an AudioControl SPL meter. I am not aware of anyone that has hit a higher SPL reading in an MKIV with the same power and can still put their targa in the stock location. Anyone seen/heard higher?? Maintaining the targa storage is one of the many cool things about this setup.

6. Anyone who has seen it will agree that it is one very unique setup that would be very time consuming to duplicate.

7. I am asking $1000 for the enclosure without the amp or the subs. That is plus shipping!

8. I have built other enclosures for MKIV's of equal quality for much more.

Actually that is a very reasonable price for a box like that, the one I built for my Supra after it was said and done ended up costing me about 800$ and looks no where as good as thomas box. One question Tom what kind of JL's are those im looking to get 3 10W6's. Almost done with the box for them. Now just need the subs. What would the price be for these?? Thanks.
Reasonable???? Will see if a MKIV owner drops a grand on it then.
um why are you shitting on his thread?? if you dont think its fair then dont buy it as simiple as that!

Mr. Chucky Doll,

I am fairly sure that no one here on this list considers you to be an expert on what would be considered "reasonable".

You have taken a name from a character in a very poor quality horror movie.

I feel it is "unreasonable" to spend money on a crappy horror movie that stars a doll which comes to life and kills people.

I am very sure you are guilty of this very much "unreasonable" act!

You, however, do not think it is unreasonalble to spend your money on a film that stars a doll that kills people.

Do us all a favor, leave the car audio to people who are a bit more experienced with it.

You seem to be quite the "Chucky Doll" expert, I have a question for you.....

What would be a reasonable amount to pay for a mint "Chucky Doll" I saw on Ebay??

I don't want to pay an unreasonable amount!

Thanks for all your help with this thread... we thank you for your expertise!

bwahahahaha! Basically Chucky he said, shut yo mouth fool! But in a very polite Thomas Kenyon kind of way. And are you interested in buying the box?? Because if you are not why even come in here and flame his thread?? Maybe YOU cant drop a grand on "VINYL AND PLYWOOD" but im sure other people that know what they are talking about will see that it is a deal. Goodbye.
Chucky Boy who the hell pissed into your Corn Flakes man, why don't you stop talking shit in this forum :p

And Thomas, as you know I just built my box for 2 12's as I posted in the other thread, took me 3 weeks almost everyday after work for hours and hours and weekends. If I knew you were selling your enclosure for a grand before starting my box, I would have already bought it. SO TO ANYONE that wants a good enclosure, BUY THIS ONE. Believe me, I will probably never again build another box as in those 3 weeks I ate more fiberglass and mdf dust, and breathed in more resin than most chemical plant workers in there lifetimes :D :D It is hard as hell to build an enclosure, and it cost at least $130 in materials anyways, without my vinyl yet. Just my two cents, but hey, Thomas's enclosure is sweet looking.

Cheers,

Bartel.

$1000 actually seems really reasonable to me... Too bad I have a Lexus and not a Supra :(

I will spread the word for you though Thomas!
