Everything from '08 and newer is different. Looks the same from a distance. Here's a quick run down. Updated frame, swing arm, front forks, and engine. Ill let you do the rest of the research.

I was about to get a Red CBR600rr too, but once I saw the R6 in red my mind was made up

I wanted to buy an R6, love the looks of them, but they are really uncomfortable to me, so went with the GSXR750... who knows though, maybe I'll pick one up for a track bike

Love the looks, I bought a 2007 R6 new and put about 1100 miles on it, then said to hell with this, too uncomfortable to ride for any amount of time. Switched to a buell and a torquey V-twin. Yamaha makes some awesome bikes though, congrats.
