·What RPM's do you normally run in OD at 60-70MPH? 3k-ish? Seems high, even though it's got a 4:30 rear.

I thought it might be, i counted 4 gears and the lockup function seems to be functioning normally, with around 20mpg.JustAnotherVictim said:Normal

Same diff ratio on the 5spd.
O/D = Lower RPMs for DDing. Better Gas Mileage. If you're hammering on it then turn on ECT and O/D off until you need the 4th gear.supraman07 said:isn't it best to not drive your auto supra in overdrive much?
It's an age old debate. If the OD unit is tough, (which i think this one is, compared), then it should be no problem. When you are in OVERdrive, you are turning less than 1:1 from the motor, which equates to less strain on the motor, and greater fuel economy. If you are stop and go, and under 55, it is a good idea to turn OD off.supraman07 said:isn't it best to not drive your auto supra in overdrive much?
