Im planning to go NA-T soon, and Im curious about a couple of things...

Firstly, alot of my friends here tell me that the clutches that people recommend for 350-400 hp range are always short-term clutches or "racing" clutches which don't last past 2000-3000 miles? is that true?

Secondly, what is a good clutch to hold that horsepower range that will last a long time? Stock clutches last quite a while, like over 50,000 miles... any NA-T clutches that would last like that and still hold power????

Lastly and Im pretty sure it wouldnt work, but 6spd turbo clutches don't work on our cars huh?

Thanks to any replies!

damn my bad, this subject has been beat to death already haha...

OK so my NEW question would be then...

I really dig the HPF clutch, but is there a difference in longevity in using the ACT or RPS pressure plate??? And does anyone have personal experience with this clutch lasting a long time under NA-T power??

so far I am having a bad experience with the ACT PP... Mine might be a lemon.. so I am going to make sure there is no air in my slave and master cylinder and if it is still crappy then I will send it back for a RPS PP... (yes i have HPF clutch)

Okay. . .i've been hearing bad press about both the ACT and the RPS PP's (mostly in the form of "i heard so and so has one and he says it's crap"). . .I'd like to hear about some experiences from the people that drive them (no heresay please!) Also, if it's crappy, why? Lousy feel? Just doesn't hold? (also, how much hp are you running and how are you driving it?. . .mostly daily/hard rolling acceleration or dragging with hard launches?)

Also, how's the engagement feel with the HPF disc compared to stock (daily driving, not launching)? Does it chatter or is it pretty quiet? Are you using stock/lightened flywheel?

Thanks!

Since I broke my HPF clutch ... I suppose it get a new one under warranty (I have like 3-4k miles on it) ... when I get it back, if anyone is interested, I will be selling it for significantly less than what I paid for it (and it will be new, of course). I will post more details whenever I get it pulled out of the car and get the new one.

How streetable is the thing? I do a lot of day to day in traffic driving and need something that is a lot easier than an on/off switch.

Sure, my HPF is was also a dream come true for a few thousand miles ... let us know how it is holding up after 5k-10k miles.
