Anyone know what this VSV is for? It controls flow between the manifold to the nipple on the other side of the manifold to ???.

I'm not using the vvti ECU so it won't control this VSV anyways. I'm plotting to remove it, add a check valve so I can use the nipple for the brake booster.

This is on a later gen vvti GTE JDM motor.

No one knows? What's on the back end of the manifold for the non-vvti GTE?

IIRC nothing is back there on the regular GTE manifold. I can tell you for sure that the non-vvti GTE manifold does not have either of the two nipples to the left of that vtc, nor the gas filter nipple in the upper left of your picture.

The two black nipples, to the top left and bottom right are check valves.

Top left is for the FPR, bottom right was the MAP sensor.

Has to be the EVAP VSV. Only VSV that I know where both hoses go into the IM. But the again, maybe this picture isnt even from a Supra lol~

Very likely that it's EVAP VSV...

I don't think my IS300 ECU will control this VSV properly as I don't want it opening when there is boost in the IM. I should be able to throw a check valve inline there somewhere and it should work fine.

You're right that this isn't from a supra...it's from a JSZ161 Aristo or 2000 Aristo. Same as the vvti JDM supra though.

I'll see if I can't take a larger picture for context later.

Stu was right. It is for the EVAP as my EVAP plug on my IS harness fits this VSV.

As another question...that bolt plug at the top of the manifold. Is that where the supra brake booster is connected to? What year supra can I get the right fitting from for this? Do I need a check valve somewhere inline?
