We were trying to tune my car this weekend on E85. Well, we tried to get more boost because the boost controller (high boost setting) were turn up all the way. We tried to tighten the screw on the wastegate but it kept turning and we did not feel the tension on it. I having had time to take it apart yet. I just wanting to know what you guys think about it. Thanks in advance.

do you know what spring is in the wg? Have you ever run on just wastegate pressure, and how much boost do you get with that?

To me this sounds like you have a spring with too little tension in the wg; in general, max pressure with full spring tension is typically not much more than 2X wastegate spring pressure; so if on wg spring you get 12 psi, don't expect to get more than about 24/25 or so max. There is some variation in that "rule of thumb" depending on which wastegate and spring you actually have.

I have a 16psi wg spring because everytime I turn my bc off, that's what is registering on my boost gauge. I am thinking maybe the screw might be stripped out. Then it would be an easy fix.
