Well, here goes. Pioneer and I finally got the engine in my car rebuilt and started. The car runs, but i was getting a check engine light and revs betweent 1500rpms and 2500rpms. We got Error Code 51, so i swapped the JDM intake plenum for one from an american 88. That included a new TPS and a new ISC valve. The Check engine light is now gone and the timing set, but when we checked for errors we still got error code 51. But the car seems to drive fine.

Any suggestions?

you have to clear the code from the ecu memory...check in the fuse box and pull the 15 amp EFI fuse for around a minute...that resets the ecu

Yeah i did that. I pulled the EFI fuse already. But same scenario. The check engine light is gone, just the error code 51 is reported when we go in the diagnostics mode

Replaced the entire intake plenum with the one from the 88. I assumed since it was set on the 88, it probably is still set, but i guess i'll check that.
