My rear hatch (i think) creaks when i drive the car. I can't figure out where the creak is coming from and it annoys the hell out of me. I'm pretty sure its the hatch...it might be something else but i can't figure it out. Any ideas?? I need this think fixed...its driving me crazy

It might be that - do you have new hatch bumpers?
That fixed the rattle for me.
My targa top "creaks" if any of the bolts get a little loose. Maybe it's the rear passenger side targa bolt?

It's almost certainly your targa top if not the hatch... there's a tech article on http://mkiv.christurner.net on how to fix this. The top usually 'creaks', and the hatch usually 'rattles'.

Also - if you have leather seats, make sure the front seats are not pushed so far back as to rub against the leather of the rear seats and make 'creaking' sounds. That killed me for about a week before I realized what it was. :)
