ok, on my uncles 88 n/a mk3 the bottom hose on the isc valve is leaking coolent through a slit in it, i have the replacement hose but how the hell do you get in there to get the old hose off? ive tried a search and the tsrm but cant get anything, if anyone could help it'd be appreciated:mad:

you mean the coolant hose that comes up from beneath it? just remove the ISC, then replace that hose, getting to the bottom of it to clamp it on is a bit of a pain, and you may need to move the TPS to get more space to work with

and while you are at it, trace the gasket for the ISC valve on a sheet of alum, and make a block off plate, its real simple, and you have less bs in the engine bay.
