Hey Guys
I made a thread here already outlining my issues. Here is a recap. When I start my car it immediately stalls out. If i give it throttle, I can save it from stalling but the second I let off and the rpms start to come back down, stalls again.

I just removed the iacv, took it apart, cleaned it and ran the firing sequence through it and it works fine. When installed, it was drawing air through the air hose and I could hear it clicking.

My question is, what should I check next? What else would cause my stalling?
Should I check the iacv harness? Perhaps it is not getting the proper voltage? What should I do to check this?

We first need to know what your setup is so we can take into account some variables. Your car sounds like its doing exactly what mine does except im singled on stock MAF on a cold start that is.

Stock ecu.

Would a faulty TPS result in these issues?
Ill also try to check for vaccum leaks tomorrow with some carb cleaner and see if I spot anything. The problem started on a smaller scale last summer right after I got the car back from the body shop. Perhaps they disconnected a line or pinched one or cut one by accident.

I also clean out the TB but that did not help.

Last summer, it would do the same thing towards the end of the summer, right before I put it away. However, at that time, I could give it some throttle and it after one blip it would come to idle and be perfectly fine for the rest of the day.

hmmmm, from what i found to try and get a remedy to my problem is a TPS out of alignment/Clogged Fuel Filter. Troubleshooting SUCKS. I was gonna say BOV but you shot that idea down.

Check for vac leaks around the intake manifold. I once forgot to hook up the map sensor because there was a hose coming from the sensor just not connected and my car wouldnt idle unless i had another vac line unplugged.

IACV's can be temperamental. I always had issues with mine, cleaned it a few different times, new gaskets, and all still had issues. It would work fine for a little while then back to shit. Glad you fixed it man.

So it was a bad IACV causing the issue? I have the same issue and have pulled it off, cleaned it and tested it using the instructions in the FSM and it seemed OK. I'd like to avoid replacing the part if it's actually OK. Any thoughts?
