I'm firmilar with the differences of mass air flow sensors and manifold absolute pressure sensors, and given some past experience and knowledge of MAP systems, I can see why it's prefered for the Supras running signle turbos. The problem is I can't seem to dig up any good how to's for converting to a MAP system on the forum here. I gave the search a shot, but it didn't give me what I'm looking for.

Can someone enlighten me? I'd like to know what's needed for such a conversion, what it all involves, and how the MAP sensor is integrated with the Supra's electronics. Where can I buy the stuff the I'd be needing?

In order to convert to a MAP based setup you have the following options:

Piggybacks computers like:

HKS VPC:

MAP ECU:

OR

A Full Standalone ECU:
AEM EMS:

No matter which you choose, you will have to tune your car in order to keep your air/fuel ratio in check. Do a search on any of those specific units to learn more about them. It has been discussed thousands of times on the pros and cons of each.
