I've been looking into building up my 7MGE for the time and keep it all motor. Anyone recommend any brands for Headers(looking for stainless steel), a nice exhaust , and possibly a good intake. I've been looking into parts and HKS is kind of scarce with MK3 parts so anyone able to let me know of any places to buy from or a specific brand please advise.

Thanks,
Steve

I need some help degree. I mean I'd love to swap a 2jzgte in my supra but everyone is doing it and I want to keep it stock with some upgrades lol. I just got a new job so im trying to build what I have for now until I can attempt a swap in the near future.

If you're planning on swapping your motor in the future, then why waste money upgrading a seemingly temporary motor? There's no point in spending money on temporary upgrades. Either save up for your future swap, or spend the money on making your current motor more reliable to last you until you have the capital necessary to perform your desired swap. Just my opinion.

You edited your post D: but anyways thanks for the info. These upgrades won't be temporary I just found a new job and my supra will be my DD for the time. If I ever decide to swap a 1jz or a 2jz inside it'll be in a year or two before I do that because I want to have every single part necessary so I don't have to stop and wait until I have money or the parts since this will be my main car as I stated before.

lmfao at this thread.. OP go to JEGS they have a lot of 7M stuff there.

please dont waste your money with performance bolt ons for a ge. The gains are minimal and the car will still be slow as shit. For the money youd be spending just do a turbo conversion it will be cheaper and youll see alot more power gains that way.

Just look at my signature.......
I probably have the most advanced all motor 7M (ie, the biggest money pit) on the planet.
I take down any detroit muscle car that I have ever ran up against, unless they were supercharged,
every stock 7MGTE or 1JZ, and any fucking SR20 turbo, no matter what they have done to it.

But........
A well built 7MGTE will still smoke my butt.
Unless your really serious, put a 2.5" or larger exhaust on it, and call it a day.
I've got 15 years of development into my 7MGE, and only did it because I wanted to explore where it could go.
It is NOT cheap, or easy, period.
Don't waste your money, drive the car for transportation, and get over it.

Lol. A stock 7mgte is 200rwhp. Not all that impressive. And when was the last time anyone has ever seen a showroom-stock 7mgte? 10years ago? Even if one of us DID find a virgin 7mgte, you can bet your ass it wouldnt stay that way for more than a week. It'd either be 300rwhp with a dumped 3" dp, on fire... Or both.

Drive it just the way it is and save up all those pennies you were goin to spend on a spectre intake, faux braided radiator hoses, extra thick silicone plug wires, bosch +4 platinum plugs and obx fart can.

If you knew you were going to get back with your uber sexy and filthy minded gf after she comes back from college, would you waste your time banging a pear-shaped chick with bad teeth and a lazy eye for the next few months? Not bloody likely...

Hahaha. Awesome analogy.

What are you talking about? At no point did I reference a 1jz, for better or worse.

Are you saying because you beat both 7mgte and 1jz powered cars, they were directly comparable? If that's the case, I don't know of a single person who has ever done a 1j swap and used 100% factory parts, down to the cat back. When I did my ex's swap in 2005, it dynoed 280rwhp. Right on par with an open-dp 7m. Only difference is the 7m has tq 1000rpm sooner.

If you're trying to tell me that you've got 280rwhp on a 7mge, I find that a hard pill to swallow sir.

All Motor= All Retarded
Not doing a 2jz swap because "everyone is doing it" is like not going to college because everyone is doing it.
Hahaha. Man, that is SO out there. It's funny, but it just isn't a plausible analogy; I'll fix it for you.
Not doing a 2JZ Swap because "everyone is doing it," is like not going to HARVARD because everyone is doing it."

OP, there is nothing wrong with modding your ge, but if you do plan on eventually swapping, I am going to have to agree with everyone else. Just make sure its reliable as is, enjoy it as is, and save the money you would spend on the N/A mods to put towards the swap. I plan on doing a clean ge myself, but I have two turboed variants as well, which will be finished before the ge even gets started.

Say what?

You saying "nothing wrong with modding a ge" is like saying "there is nothing wrong with investing your inheritance on scratch off lotto tickets". -_-

There is such a thing as "poor return on your investment".

I wonder what sixpack's NA Cressida runs in the 1/4.? 14.5 ish maybe... I love how you always talk up a huge game with your NA built cressida. Ill be happy to race you. Don't worry, its only a basic modded mk3 with a CT26... oh and it does 11.5 @ 120 in the 1/4. Shouldnt be a problem though right?

No matter what is done to a SR20 it you beat it? lol please come down to vegas, ill show you a SR20 that will eat your car alive.

Oh right. That's nbd. But I've seen people do full built motors with quality parts (which means real money) and the returns just aren't there.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
