New brakes lock up (ABS kicks in) under hard braking

I just installed new brembo front cross-drilled rotors ,hawk pads (MVP Motor sports) and Valvoline syn fluid. If I brake hard my front tires now lock up and abs kicks in. Is this because my new parts are working a little too well, or is it somthing wrong? I dont feel that its stopping any better.
