Ok, I'm planning on putting new carpet in my car. I talked to a local upholstry shop and they said the carpet has too many curves and bend to just put down new carpet. They suggested to buy the carpet kit from Toyota or overlay new carpet over the top of the old carpet with a very good adhesive. Since I dont want tan or black carpet, I have to do the layover. They said they have done this to Supras in the past. My question is has anyone done this themselves? And what is the strongest adhesive I could use? The only thing I could think of was the 3M spray glue. Any info would be great!

Why don't you just buy the factory Supra carpet in your choice of color?

It's already conformed to the flooring .

Does Toyota offer the carpet kit in other colors besides black and tan?

Sorry, I forgot to ask if you were looking for a specific color.
There is a company out there making custom carpets pre-formed. I will look in my magazine and get their # for you.
