did a new dyno before the race this weekend here are the vid and dyno graph


this is on 36psi

933whp and 833tq

here is my setup
Built by www.pure-pf.com
"STOCK J-Spec engine" but with the US cams
ppf built T4 twinentry manifold mildsteel coated black
precision 46mm wastegate
BW s380 turbo 1.25
custom downpipe coated black
custom 3inch turbo and ic pipes
NUKE fuel filter
3 denso fuel pumps in the tank.
an8 line to the custom fuelrail made by Björck www.bjp-race.se
Aeromotive FPR.
AN6 return
1680cc injectors on E85
twins turbo motorsport Thermostat Housing Rotator Kit
620x310x100mm intercooler from skyline
custom 4inc exhaust
spec stage 4 clutch

I'm kinda confused..? I'm planning on retuning my car on E-85. Why do members keep recommending that I build my motor for 850whp-900whp, when several members here is making that power with know problem?

because at those levels you're on borrowed time with a stock motor. ESPECIALLY one with a good amount of miles on it. fatigue, and pressures 4x more than what they came with from the factory = ticking time bomb.

Amazing numbers for stock cams -- that might be a record! It seems regardless of turbo size, most stock longblocks were limited to the upper 700WHP range, so that is CRAZY! I hope it holds together long enough to make some clean passes with it at the track! If you're deep into the 150's then the numbers are legit!

If that is indeed on complete stock engine and cams then it blows away my record of 808rwhp!!!

agreed.

i'm kinda confused too... this strikes me as confirmation of the durability of the stock motor, but the results are basically what you'd expect, right? an 1100hp turbo is making mid-900's b/c it's choked up top by the stock cams?

what am i missing? :dunno:

iam suprised that a 80mm spooled that dang quick, very nice stuff man.
I wonder if it was "helped" by getting the turbo spooled up, then letting it drop partly down to about 3600 rpm, then hammering it again...it looks like at 3500 rpm power was higher than it was at 3700 rpm and then it ramped up again. I don't know...is that a fair interpretation of that curve?

it sure is the cams that chokes the engine from making more power, tried to go over 36psi but it was the cams that stopt me.

not sure how it works in the dyno, but it hit full boost 36psi at around 5000-5200 at the street
