Well few of use went to track last nite ( Cecil County)...Myself, MattM, and Jimmy P. It was record breaking/ personal best nite for all of us. Well Jimmy P. with TO4R went 10.60 @ 135.XX i believe with 1.6X 60' ( If off a little, Matt or someone correct me). Matt M hit his personal best and his first 11 second pass..with 11.807 @118.51 mph!! So Congrats to him. He is BPU++. And for reference up to dat my personal best was 11.71 @ 121.50 mph........but last nite i made 4 runs....and forst run ran a 12.54 @ 123.62 with a 2.55 60'!!!! So i knew my car was there , i just had to get in the mindset of launching..it has been a while since i have been at track. So 3rd run..ran a 11.84 @ 124.34 mph with a 2.03 60'!! So ...getting closer but still not quite right on launch yet.but it was coming. So my 4th and last run of the nite i launched at 6200.....and ran my new personal best....

11.480 @ 124.34 MPH!!!!!!!!!!! This is with a mild 1.85 60'!!!!

Here is my timeslip....
60' .....1.851
330......4.927
1/8.......7.476
MPH.....98.69
1000....9.662
1/4.......11.480 @ 124.34

So if i coudl pull a a low 1.7ish 60' which i have before.i could hit 11.2s as well!!!

My mods are as follows

94 6spd
HKS Twin Disk
RSA INtake
APexi GT SPec
RMM DP
Profec B
BCC
AFC
HKS BOV
HKS Type S Intercooler
HKS Cam Gears
Flex a Lite Electric Fans

And still no VPC!!! Well i figured i would share the info!!!

That's a great time. What kind of tires were you running?
I also made a personal best last night, although I'm no where close to you guys.

60'.....2.091
330 ...5.588
1/8.....8.349
MPH....87.69
1000..10.718
1/4.....12.700
MPH....113.95

I only have a BCC, downpipe, Profec B, and a K&N drop in filter. I was also only running on 255 wide street tires. I'm sure with some drag radials and an exhaust I could turn some low 12's.

Yes last night was awesome and you hit almost every number on the head. Jimmy Ps trap was a touch higher, 136.7x , don't want to cheat him out of that.

Congrats to Tony for that awesome time!! I've never heard of a VPC less bpu put down those numbers. Then again Tonys car has always had higher traps than the average bpu. I definitely feel on a cold night with a 1.6 60' he will officially have the fastest bpu!

;)

Tony was running ET streets and I was running BFG drag radials.
I managed a 1.8 60' on the radials. Your car as it sits should run low 12s... What plugs are you running? I do recommend some BFG drag radials, 275/40/17s. With an auto you could easily pull 1.7/ 1.8 60' times or even better.

I'm running NGK3330's, they do have about 4k miles on them though. I was also only running 94 octane pump gas. I also have a 6-speed. I was thinking of getting the BFG's but from what I hear I will also need another set of rims for them because they wear too fast on the street. I was thinking of getting the Nitto DR's so I could just run them all the time. Either way I'm not going to get anything until next season.

Sorry.. I thought you had an auto. I run the ngk 3330s and I change them before every track outing. This time I didn't but I've only had them in for 300 miles. The 94 may have been a factor as I had a halve tank of 93 and added two gallons of 110 octane. It may have helped me but I could have been experiencing some timing retard.

I run the Nittos all the time and love them for the street. The BFGs are more efficient at the track though. You're right, they will not last on the street.

Damn I thought I would have kept the title for best time at BPU around here, but Tony just had to be king of the hill. Congrats to Matt for an impressive first 11 sec run. It was great to see Jimmy's 136.7x's and his 10.60. And once again congrats on Tony beating my time and his constsistant 124 trap speeds.

Tony,
Those are some sweet numbers! That trap speed is
not far from some small singles. 11.4 on an average
60' time? That 11.2 sounds very attainable. I saw Matt's
new signature on another thread and new something was
up! Jimmy's numbers are also very impressive but I have a
hard time putting a 136+ mph trap into perspective. It
gets really blurry at those hp levels. Just plain fantastic
runs all the way around.
BTW, I put your trap in a HP calculation and you are
pushing over 550 hp at the crank on that run!
Major congratulations to the three of you.

Bull frickin crap! I believe you about as far as I can throw you and Matt doing an 11? Now I know your lying. j/k ;) I knew the bullet had a sub 11.5 in her along time ago. When you were running 120+mph in the 90 deg. high humidity it wasn't hard to figure out. If I change my name to Tony how many mph can I pick up? Congrats to you, Matt and Jimmy and next time email me when your going. I could of had that on video for you and converted it to an mpeg.

Wayne, that red hardtop might have everyones time beat with a few more mods and a nice cold night.

"Wayne, that red hardtop might have everyones time beat with a few more mods and a nice cold night."

Thanks Rob. Us red hardtops have to stick together.
Otherwise those Quicksilver cars may take over the planet. :)
I think that list of "additional mods needed" just grew a bit!
BTW, I am hoping to hit MIR on Sunday the 21st. Anyone
interested in making some passes? Tony and Matt have to
make all their runs starting from the burn-out box :D

That stinks, thats the same day as the big IDRC event at Maple Grove. Is there an import event going on there also?

I didn't know this was the Maple Grove Sunday. No event at
MIR, just a test and tune. I may have to change my plans
and go to Maple Grove. Thanks for the info Rob.

Wayne, I'll see if I can make it on the 21st. I'll let you know something next week.

Rob, Thanks and next time I'll email you if I head to the track. I heard that the Maple Grove event has a $100 entry fee. Is this true?? Who is planning on going so far??? I'll definitely be at the MIR event on Nov. 11th. Need to see how we fair against the GNs....

What kind of gas mixture...or what kind of gas did you use and what was the temp and humidity...and if you know, what was the barometric pressure.

I had about 4 gallons of Unleaded 104....and maybe one gallon of 93 in my tank. Tried to make it up to as close to empty as possible. Not sure of exact temp and all.since they didnt post it on the timeslip....but i would say....mid 50s?? It wasnt as cold as a few nites when it was mid 40s. So around 55-56 degrees...and my afc is tuned.

Cool, sounds like a pretty good mix...I run straight 100 octane.

Do you have a new dyno sheet that I could look at...I would like to see the new curve you have...I know that it does not say everything about how the car should run at the track though...it doesn't in my case anyway. Just curious how the curve looks...don't care about the peak numbers.
