We're about to introduce our latest in MK3 Supra clutches. The key behind our new clutch is the use of a full face feramic material which provides for smoother engagement. This clutch can also withstand tons of abuse and has a very high melting point. The price of this clutch will be very close to the price of our other feramic clutches.

Here's a pic of the clutch disk. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

Take care,
Chris.

Interesting. Wich would you recomend for a trailered race car that will be used mostly on road courses with some 1/4 mile thrown in? How many dragstrip passes can I expect, optimally, from said Feramic clutch with aggressive launches on drag slicks, before relining or replacement?

This clutch will be smoother engaging and have an increased lifespan over the HPF Feramic 6 puck. The Torque Rating will be roughly 95-100% of our HPF 6 puck Feramic at approximately 600 ft-lbs (approx 700rwhp).

The melting point and coefficient of friction is the same as our 6 puck Feramic, however, there is more surface area in contact. As the contact area is increased, the pressure per square inch decreases. This compromise allows you to engage the clutch at a much lower rpm without chatter and gives the clutch a much greater lifespan.

Here's a link to the various options and pricing..

upgradedsupra.... The HPF MK3 Supra HPF Bronze clutch has a rating of around 600ft-lbs with the RPS Max pressure plate.

Eric Barnett... Yes, you can use the full face feramic with a lightened flywheel. Heat dissipation is lessened with the lighter flywheel which increases the risk of the disk seizing to the flywheel and pressure plate. I highly doubt this disk will seize, however, as there is several times more feramic material in the full face clutch with less clamp load / square inch.

What is the difference in pedal effort between the ACT pressure plate and the RPS pressure plate. I'm going to need a new clutch that can hold 500+ RWTQ but I don't want a very hevy pedal pressure for city driving.

Same question here. Good news on the light weight FW! I already have a fresh act pp so all need is the disk...
Here's the clutch disk page with pricing for just the disk..

The RPS pressure plate for the MK3 has more clamp load than the ACT HD and will hold more power. The pedal effort on both of these pressure plates is about 30% stiffer than stock.

If you buy the disk by itself, always use a new pressure plate and a new flywheel (or have your existing flywheel turned). Never put a new disk in with a used pressure plate or flywheel or it will wear out very quickly.

Take care,
Chris.
