Yep, last Saturday, NorthEast Auto Design set the record for the fastest BPU Supra w/Stock twins, Street tires and no nitrous. All I can remember (Not looking at the time slip) was the 60' time was 2.0+ and the 1/4 mile time was 11.38 @123mph!! That is just crazy. Run was on stock wheels, and BFG Drag Radials in the rear. Just wanted to make a post to say congratulations! I will be putting up a video of the run and a scan of the timeslip if I can get ahold of it. This time was backed up by an another 11.38 @ 119mph, but was not caught on tape. So congratulations to Ryan and all of the NorthEast Auto Design crew :)

How do you guys get such amazing times?

How modified is 'BPU'? Do you just run crazy fuel and wind the boost up to insane levels?

ACT Heavy Duty clutch, fuel was 104 unleaded mixed with 93 unleaded, wastegate was unplugged to allow turbos to run max boost, GReddy FMIC, GReddy Airinx Intake, HKS VPC, HKS GCC, Tanabe Downpipe, Tanabe Racing Medalion Exhaust, and that's it :D

Not something that'll prolong the life of the turbos then!

i didnt think you could specify BFG drags as street tires. Yes they are street legal, but let me see you drive them in the rain. I thought this run was on a pure street tire, not a drag radial.

still nice times. good work.

Nice times. I notice that you come on REALLY hard everytime right after the 1000' mark. Do you notice the sudden surge of power there when your at the track?

Awesome number though on true drag radials.:)

Here is a pic of my stock twin turbo timeslip just so you can compare and see what I am talking about. At the 1/8 mile you are about .4 seconds behind and at the 1000' mark you are closer to .5 seconds behind...and then after the 1000' mark your car comes on really hard and is only .1 seconds behind. You are making up some serious time there!!! I was comparing the 2nd timeslip...the first one is kind of inconsistent being the mph is way lower, but running the same time. It looked like you might have let off on that one or something, but the car still acts the same even on the 1st timeslip right after the 1000' mark....it comes on REALLY hard!!!
That has got to be something that you can feel...it must feel amazing at that point in the track!!!

Congrats.

If I didn't see the timeslips I would say the numbers don't add up.

The 60', 1/8 MPH, and 1/8 ET don't look like your average low 11 second pass.

5 MPH variance in trap is pretty big, any major changes between the two runs?

I don't think any record was broken, but great times regardless.

DAMN...just did some calculations on that 123mph pass where it appeared that he did not let off.

1/8 mile to 1/4 mile was 3.719 seconds!!!!!!!! That is faster than my single turbo when it has run 130mph in the 1/4 and 102-103mph in the 1/8 mile. My best time from 1/8 to the 1/4 is:

3.808 seconds with the 67 at 20lbs of boost doing [email protected] and 102-103mph in the 1/8 mile

3.976 seconds with stock twin turbos and no nitrous doing [email protected] and 98mph in the 1/8 mile

3.884 seconds with stock twin turbos and nitrous doing [email protected] and 101-102mph in the 1/8 mile

That is SUPER impressive times on the big end right after the 1000' mark for sure!!! They definately have a one-of-a-kind supra there.

The second 1/8th mile on both those time slips makes no sense.

First slip it takes 3.923 seconds 660-1320 but only picks up 23.48 mph?

Second slip it takes 3.719 (!!!) seconds 660-1320 but picks up 27.59 mph.

I can't see how a car on stock twins can cover the second 1/8th in 3.7 seconds.

Are you sure the timing system was working right on the Right lane?

(Those look like 11.60-11.80 slips based on past slips I've seen.)

Everything looks good even to the 1000' mark...right after that something happens and it gains a LOT of time.

You're right. The 1000'-1320' time of 1.514 seconds doesn't add up.

No record here.

Not a record anyway, Tony still would have it with the 11.22 but the timeslips are definitely messed up on top of that. The timing system must have been f'ed or some leaves may have blown past the traps triggering the lights. Here's one of my slips to compare to also.

60' 1.63
330 4.80
1/8 7.43
mph 92.3
1000 9.66
1/4 11.54
mph 119.1

Here's another

60' 1.76
330 4.92
1/8 7.49
mph 94.4
1000 9.69
1/4 11.53
mph 120.9

Here's one with the single turbo with a worse 60' and spinning to 120+' slowing the ET.

60' 1.82
330 4.98
1/8 7.52
mph 96.7
1000 9.69
1/4 11.49
mph 125.7

Something is wrong in Denmark fella's. I'm raising the flag.

One thing that wasn't mentioned that may help explain the times, is Ryan's car isn't exactally "full weight" ;)

That wouldn't make a bit of difference, unless like Tony said, he gets a huge surge of power at 1050 ft. and then locks the brakes up at 1290 ft. Then the slips would make sense but not the driving.

His first run looks like a 11.60 letting off just before the 2nd trap at 1320, explaining the low trap speed. 2nd run looks like an 11.70 staying in it the whole way.

I could have had an 11.2x at New England Dragway on my twins, Nitto's and pump gas at 18 psi boost.

In a SP67 car that belongs to Bryant(97SP67) I ran [email protected] at the NDRA event in Bristol this summer. That run was on 17 psi, 93 octane, 6spd, 315 bfg's on stock wheels, 1.6 60'. 1/8 mile was a [email protected] and it turned out to be a [email protected] That car took ~4.1 to cover the big end and it picked up 30mph. On that 1st slip your car covered the big end in ~3.9 and only picked up ~23mph. 2nd slip it took ~3.7 and only picked up ~27mph.

I'm not buyin it........
