Word of mouth from a friend is that:

"Was talking to James Hensler last night at the shop and he said that the NHRA will be enforcing no window tint on anyone that is going to race. I guess they are bitching about window tint because they can not see the SFI sticker on roll bars through the glass. Sounds like an easy fix to me is to just open the damn door up and look at the bar."

Tint will help keep the glass together in an accident. If anything I'd WANT tint! The NHRA can bite me, with all of their rules taking street cars off the tracks I'll never race on one of their tracks. IHRA thank you very much!

It's true... I was warned NUMEROUS times last year about this... my reply was always "I'm in street class, this is my street car, and the tint stays on my street car"

their response "Is it legal being that dark?"

my response "errr, It's a white car, it just makes it look darker, of course it's legal"

I was never dq'd, but they said they need to be able to see the driver as well. most roll cages to 10.0 do not need an NHRA sticker... at least I never did... as long as you slam on your brakes at the end so as not to exceed 135mph

yeah i totaly agree with just opening the door or rolling the damn window down.

and what about all the damn stickers and vinyl graphis everyone has on their car,
and lets not forget about the sponsers too, theres just not enough room on the body panels (on most cars) to put sponsership stickers or even contingicy one either

i vote for dropping melted styrofoam with a gas on the headquarters of NHRA
