"Based on the Q60 chassis" Good, should be able to nail 600whp with a couple of bolt-ons and a reflash within weeks of release.

the only new info they provided was that its now called the Z instead of 400Z. didn't even tell us if it has a steering column or steer by wire...
400Z wouldn't fit the nomenclature of the car's history though, as it is a 3.0 TT and not 4.0.

Also, I think the analog/2nd boost gauge is a bit redundant. An oil pressure gauge would've been more appropriate as either analog on the dash, or digital on the display.

I also wonder if the GReddy Type-S sounding BOV was added in post production, or you get that from out of the box.

I understand why they changed the name and I agree with it. my complaint is that's the only piece of new info provided.

personally I'd prefer a more useful gauge over the voltage gauge...

fairly certain its gonna sound like crap, at least stock. why else would they make all the videos either silent or obviously dubbed sound

I think all the vids is because that's how people now-a-days receive their info. "Flashy" or fun vids. I think it will sound good, like a muffled/kinda quiet turbo VQ/R; and I have faith in Nissan doing this car well. I'm sure a NISMO tuned one will come in two or three years, which will be the one a lot of us would prefer.

BTW, I've been listening to this all day. I've got a problem, yall. L :( L

Carbon fiber drive shaft?! WHAT?! Man, this is cool they'd offer that. Aluminum hood, doors and hatch is nice too, and I like how they teamed up with Rays too. Sounds like this is going to be a really fun car.

yeah I guess you make a good point about the sound... I might be subconsciously preparing myself for the worst so I'm not disappointed, haha

carbon fiber driveshaft isn't new, both the 370Z and 350Z had one too. Same with aluminum hood. Doors and hatch are a new thing as far as I know. And they've been teaming up with Rays for wheels since the 350Z too, but thats something most people who care about Rays wheels will upgrade anyway, its not like they're putting TE37's on the car.

I posted on Nissan's IG asking about steering, and either they don't know either or its steer by wire and they don't wanna say. first reply:

"Our 2023 Z will offer Electric Power Steering on all models. Thank you for your interest."

I replied that doesn't answer the question, does it have an actual steering column (worded it a little more politely, looks like comment was deleted and I don't remember exact wording) and they replied with:

"Full specifications will be available closer to the vehicle’s on-sale date in the Spring of 2022. A member of our team will be sure to reach back out to you when further details are available. Thank you for your interest."

but some guy in the youtube comments said its not steer by wire saying Tamura-San told him so... so there's that, lol
