Hey all. After having the supra to two places who swore they could hit my alignment specs, I am stuck with a poorly aligned car on brand new tires that are getting worn down poorly again the longer i wait.

Anyone have a place they take theirs to get aligned? I'm using Lance's alignment.

Why not take it back to the dealer, at least they have the specs.

Without flaming, this is why. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/lance_alignment/index.html

There will be serious inside wear on your tires if you stick with the stock alignment, esp if you increase the tire size(amhik).

And who doesn't go up on tire size? i'm running 275/315 on my road race setup.

I am going to mach v motorsports in the dulles area. They say they can hit the proper specs, and if they do, i'll post up some results for you all.

Hokiesup: Let us know how it goes at Mach V. I had them work on my MKIV a couple years back and it was...meh. I don't think they were comfortable working on the car, not sure why considering they had a fleet of pricey cars in their shop. Either way, it would be good to know if they can do the Lance alignment on our cars since they are practically in my backyard. Thanks in advance.

I have been using them on and off since they were CDE motorsports in fairfax. I agree with your assessment, and I wouldn't have them do anything difficult. I am told they have a proper alignment rack, and i'll be watching the whole time!

I'll definitely post some results, a good way to check alignment (credit to lance himself from the mkiv list back in the day) is to put a strip of shoe polish on your tire, drive around the block, and check where the polish is missing. I'll post how that works out too.

EDIT: They are DSM specialists now, used to supposedly be wrx specialists ><. Hopefully alignments aren't too different.

CDE/Mach V has been the only place that has touched the alignment on my car, I have been happy with them everytime, they are pricey but you get what you pay for
