just recently as i was getting on the freeway, i turned my overdrive switch on (so therefore the "OD/OFF" light was off) and then it started blinking at the rate of 1-2 seconds at a time.

the glovebox manual says to take it immediately to toyota for "there may be a trouble in the transmission system"

before i do so, i'd like to know if anyone had experience with this and what kind of different things they have found out or what problems are likely to come up. it seems like the light blinks only when the ATF gets hot/warm. sometimes it blinks, sometimes it doesnt. the supra has 84k miles. fluid level and color is fine.

thanks in advance.

It may be in indication of the transmission fluid overheating. Your best bet is to pull the code and see what you get. See the FSM for the procedure on reading transmission codes.
