My brother just picked up a 98 Accord Sedan and it has power seats. However, if you lean to hard agains the back of the seat, the seat gives way and the motor/gears squeak...which is very annoying. You can use the power seat adjustment to bring the seat back up to where you had it, but it just keeps falling back with any little pressure.....

I'm having a tough time sourcing a Power seat "Gear" or "Motor" to replace for this car. Easiest option would be to replace the seat I know but it's a unique Grey Leather seat so it'd be hard to find the same one to replace it with.

On that note: anyone know of a good Accord (5th, 6th, 100th gen, whatever my brothers is...) forum?

Hondas are cable actuated IIRC - I would pull the seat out and check the cable connections and also I would check the connection at the slider. It most likely is the slider connection at the cable that is broken. I would just source a new power seat of any kind and swap frames. Trying to get the connection clip etc from Honda may be difficult. If you can source the obvious problem try honda first to see if they sell it alone, if not a seat frame swap might be best. But double check that it is broken and not just coming off, it may be somethign you can fix.
