Hi guys,

The odometer on my stock 94 NA 5 speed started not counting all the miles about a month ago, and now has just stopped on the current mileage. I did a search and saw a bunch of posts about related issues, but I'm looking to get the odometer working, as I use it to tell when I need an oil change and what my gas mileage is (approximately).

I plan to take it to the dealership to fix, but in the past they've suggested some pretty lame solutions to problems, and before they tell me I need to swap out the entire engine (only half kidding) could anyone tell me some of the likely suspects? My speedometer is working fine, in case that matters.

Buy BOTH OEM service manuals, you will need to trace the wires and sensors BOTH. COlors, etc. Also search the FAQ and MKIV.com

So it has NOTHING to do with the VSS if the speedometer is still working?

My Speedo AND Odo aren't working and it's pissing me off.
