I just placed the new bearings for oil pump shaft today and test fitted the shaft in there and its a no go. The driveshaft is so tight that can bearlyeven turn it with my hands. The bearing are toyota bearings and are brand knew. What could be causing me the troubles. I need to get it figured out before i get to that step!

Thanks guys

Jake

Hopefully you've got someone a little more experienced than yourself supervising or providing technical assistance on this rebuild. I say this because it seems as if you're unaware that there is a gap tolerance (typical journal bearing requirements) for the pump drive shaft and bearings. Review the information on the online TSRM: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/em/EM_84.html
for more info. You have have to get your shaft and / or the bearing machined within tolerance...
