Had my FMS fail yet again yesterday, so this time I'm looking at replacing the oil pump, can anyone tell me what are the best nods to do to the pump to avoid this, links and pics would be helpful, also i have been told that some traders do a pre modified pump? but who, thanks for any help.

I would first try to modify the FMS to hold more pressure with either the "srew method" or by glueing it in with engine sealant. If that doesn´t work out I could imagine to reduce oil pressur by shorten the springs at the oil pump bypass. Maybe someone who did this can chime in here?

An important factor in minimizing FMS failure is proper crankcase pressure venting.

My problem with the seal failing is defiantly down to oil pump, i have already tested and eliminated crankcase over pressure,
my oil seal actually fails at the lip, it doesn't get forced out,
i suspect to much pressure causing oil to get past the rotors into the void behind the pump, and over pressurising the seal as the built up oil cannot escape through the small drain hole quick enough.
