2nd i have a set of volk racing wheels im considering getting the lips chrome dipped to just kinda jazz the looks up of the car, they are anodized and look great to be as old as they are,my only concern is if i have these wheels took apart and the allen style looking screws strip out or break from being so old im kinda screwed due to parts for these wheels being hard to find or if it strips it would look like ass!!ive heard of things like that happening to wheels when there took apart and i def dont want it to happen to mine....chime in fella's and give me your thoughts..Thanks alot..Brent

IMO on your current setup the cowl would definitely look better. I couldn't say anything about the Volks, I haven't had personal experience with that issue.

I like that cowl, too. On a car where the material/color ties in with something for coherence, I think it would look good...I can't tell from your sig but if you have a CF hood that would work on yours.

As far as the hardware on the Volks, those are not some special proprietary Volk-only screws. You can buy top quality wheel hardware in stainless or even titanium and replace those screws and washers with the correct screw/thread size and length.

love the cowl, ditch the idea about the lips. For some reason chrome lips on high $$$ racing wheels make them look cheap. Keep the polished lip on them.

yea true..im just more worried about the existing ones breaking of in the wheels or stripping the holes out then im kinda screwed..my buddies racing hearts did that when he had them pulled apart and powder coated..now he has holes where the screws should be!!
