While it works well for WOT runs, my piggyback Haltech F3 is kinda frustrating in day to day driving. The idle and mid range A/F vary with temp and humidity and sometimes the car just idles like crap when warm(heat soak?). It would be nice for the ECU smarts to deal with this and not have to trim the mix or change maps depending on the time of day or weather.
When they built this car, the haltech was state-of-the-art, but times and technology change.
A cheap alternative to a stand alone seems to be the SAFCII, but I would like to know if you have to buy other stuff to make it work, like an FCD. I plan to boost about 20psi and make about 500 hp.
Anything else I will need for the SAFC to handle the fuel mix at this level?
