One step closer... 18" CCWs!!

Okay, so the only reason I bought Work wheels instead of CCWs is bcz I wanted 18" wheels and not 19s.

Well, they are now offering the SP500 and SP18 in 18" diameters.

The bad news is they only have them in 8.5" wide at the moment, but this makes me wish I had waited a few months on my purchase. :doh:

I'm sure they'll be offering wider ones eventually. CCW has always been super helpful about customizing to meet the customer's needs.

I know what you mean about wanting to run 18's though. Makes buying tires a lot easier and cheaper.

Yea, I like 18's overall. I feel 17's too small and 19's too big, haha that was stupid ahah. But if the thing is only available in 8.5" I don't think anyone would run it. I don't think people would even compromise for 8.5 & 9.5; when they step up to that kind of money, they want to get their money's worth.

I would have preferred 18's, too (not that 19's are that bad, I just want to fit a fatter meat in the rear sometimes), but I remember it being said that the notion of tackling the 18" project wasn't going to be entertained because of the cost factor. :rant: :anger:
That's why I decided not to wait and just take the plunge!!!

Lets just send lots of emails to CCW tellin them to make wider 18" wheels. I know I'll be getting some if they do.

I am confident they will offer wider 18" wheels... just going to take them some time to get spun up.

Have faith everybody. . .CCW will be offering the 18's in the same widths as the 19's fairly soon

I will be soon, though I like the CCW SP500s better than any wheel I have seen. Of course... I only have three Work wheels mounted with tires bcz Work doesn't know how to properly package their products. Combine that with UPS' lack of caring and I have an 18x9 damaged before I opened the box.

Adding 18's to the line up should bring a whole new crowd to CCW (as planned). I will be ordering some 18x10 and 18x11 as soon they are available. :bigthumb:

Whats the main difference between the SP18, SP20 and SP20A? I believe I can only see minor differences, if any.

SP18 and SP20 - # of spokes,
20 and 20A, 20A's look a little more curvy.

I just sent CCW an e-mail asking if they were going to make 18's any wider than 8.5. I'll keep you guys updated when I hear back from them.

18x10's are pretty close to production. 11 and 11.5's are a little farther out, but soon john
