Not to sound like a fussy nelly, but Duane's hood is $660, and there is a $100 shipping fee to the US. (Edit: Not sure if this is right, and if it is right, it's a good price because the cheap CF place wants $160 residential $120 industrial for shipping.) I've also heard of his hood coming apart (just ask Orin Bivens). He needs a pinch of reality for his prices. We're not all rich boys like the MkIV owners, many of us live paycheck to paycheck.2PHAT4U said:Lets ALL say this together......."I will support Duane, I will support Duane"!!!
I say why waste your time with some piece of crap, ugly hood when you can get an AMAZING CF hood from Duane!
I think I'm kind of biased because I am in love with everything he makes but if your gonna spend the money, do it right!
BTW: If your honestly serious about getting a CF hood, give Duane a call and I'm sure he can work something out with you! He will explain the difference between his products and the "other guy's" and he's up 24 hours a day pretty much so he's always available and lookin for someone to talk too!
Thanks
Jason

hmm. I remember someone said that we save like 35lbs switching to a CF hood. thats a nice amount IMO, and it's in the front, where we want to loose the more weight.MkIIISupraMan said:after lifting my hood off the car, i dont see the big deal over dropping lbs in that area...mk3 hood isn't really heavy at all, at least not heavy to where it justifies spending hundreds on cf.
