I'm going to be mounting 2 6x9's in the rear most area of the hatch facing forward. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to audio, so I wanted to know if the speakers should be sealed on the back side or if they can be open to the surrounding air?
I know that in most situations where 6x9's are mounted on a rear deck, they are free air design but there is still some separation between the cabin and the trunk. The only separation on mine would be the mdf that runs the width of the trunk holding the speakers in place. Would it be better if i enclosed them on the back side?
