When using coilovers, to get more oversteer you set the rear ones firmer than the fronts?

if you need more...just ask

Both roll bars too soft and there is excessive roll.

Both roll bars to stiff and the car will tend to slide and dart.

Too soft front spring, the nose drops, understeer, will not turn in.

Too stiff front spring, and the front will brake loose over the bumps.

Too soft rear spring and there will be excessive squat.

Too stiff rear spring, the car will oversteer on acceleration.

All springs too stiff and the car looses contact with the track surface in bumpy corners.

Too stiff shocks, the car will unload abruptly.

Too soft shocks, the car floats, rolls and oscillates

Hope this helps

Since you asked...

Jeff,

What sway bars, spring rates, and tire sizes are you using?

Heck, what tires do you use on track? RS303?

Thanks!

I have the TRD front and rear sway bars, I run on my street tires which right now are Toyo T1S, I am on my stock wheels. I have never been to a road course. I have done several auto x,s and have never lost my class.
I live in Chatt and all we have are twisties. I live on a mountain and it is awesome to run up and down. My tires only last around 8K miles and that is without doing any burnouts. I am rather spirited always in my driving and I am dying to get to road Atlanta hopefully this summer. I will probably do Talladega grand prix road course this year as well. It is a much smaller track than atlanta. I am wanting to widen my stock wheels and use my rears up front and widen my fronts to 10.5 or 11. I am also plannin on getting a set of adjustable coilovers either the HKS hyperdampers or the tiens. If I find I have the time to do a lot of this (which I doubt with 2 boys 6 and 2 years old) I will get a second set of wheels and use race rubber on them. I have run on SO2 pole positions, Pilot Sports (suck) and these Toyo,s
