Just have to say I was driving the camera car. The supra was in 3rd gear from a 50 roll, which sure maybe he could have been at like 6k+ in 2nd gear but over 6k is a pretty high starting rpm for that car. You can hear the turbos spool right as the RSX takes off if you listen closely.

Camera car is bolt on E92 M3 w/ two passengers, on it the whole time. So the supra creeping past it at higher speeds makes perfect sense to me.

RSX is absolutely not spraying, just a sick build. Love all the haters though!

hmmm. not terribly impressed with the shifting on the RSX lol - it's definitely loud I'll give him that. The time elapsed to hit 145 just seems way off, feels like they're driving forever before the race is over and if he has that HP he should be arriving there faster for sure.

I mean getting to 145 in a 200 HP car kinda takes a while with 2 people on board but twice that taking that long? :?

Makes sense to me (stock tt), the only mk4 supra in my town was a stock tt auto and he ran 16's at Street Life a few years back. Either 08 or 09 he's since totaled the entire car and bought a CTS lol. There was something whack with his car I never found out what but it under-performed (obviously) like a mofo

I've seen and driven some very very slow TT Supras. Either they were stock or just not maintained well. This video is believable that it was a BPU. I haven't seen any n/a Supra racing or just smashing the pedal but I don't think an n/a would hit 145 that quickly (yes I know that was still slow). Around the 0:43 mark you can hear that distinct BPU sound. It would be nice to know what mods are on that Supra. I'm wondering if it even has a BCC. 14-15 psi on a BPU is nothing. One more thing, notice the top end on the Supra and the RSX running out of gears :kekegay:. About 22 seconds to get from 50-145.....meh.

I think the camera man and the Acura driver are friends and they just threw in those fake specs on the Supra to hype up the video.

The Supra may have had an intake and a BOV at most! I couldn't see an aftermarket exhaust.

race starts at 24 sec, over at 48 seconds... 50-145 in fucking 24 seconds? i think not lol my bpu supra will hit 110-115 from 0 in half that time lol... and 115 to 145 takes far less than double that time.

lol. i'll call big bullshit on a couple things.

either the supra was severely beaten to death in a previously life and had absolutely no power. or it wasn't a full bpu (which you cant even see a large exhaust at the rear view, just a stock looking exhaust).... it does have a fmic, but that doesn't make much difference in power unless the rest matches.


i have a full bpu supra, it put down a little over 400rwhp on cool days, and 390 about on hot days, more than a couple times dynoing it.


and i can tell you, that race that happened to be 24 seconds long being a 50-145 race is hilarious if you think a 375hp bpu supra would take that long to hit 145.

my car itself will hit 0-160 in less time than that, a quart mile in just over 12 seconds trapping at 115 about. 30 more mph at the 12 second mark from 0???? and you claim it took a bpu supra 24 seconds to go 50-145

whatever makes you guys feel better about yourselves.

i have seen a lot of people do the same thing though.... tape a race against something that looks fast, put fake hp numbers up, and then post it claiming how awesome you are.

funny thing is, i wouldn't doubt the supra owner to CLAIM to have 375 hp, but i highly doubt that car is past stock hp, and hell. it could even be N/A for the amount of time it took to get to that high of a speed.

you'll never find a bpu supra taking that long to reach 145. visit supraforums and take a look, video is a lie.

I like how the guy post about altitude... hope he knows a naturally aspirated car will take a bigger hit from altitude then a boosted car.
