LOL, I'm similar to you, just take it easy and drive normally, the suspence I find always makes the nutters beg harder for more speed and others appreciate that you can drive in a civilised manner.

Co-workers or people I meet at get-togethers always think I'm overexaggerating how much my car pulls and then after I give them a ride they always say after I stomped the accelerator they thought "what a joke" but then a few seconds later the 2nd turbo kicks in and it pulls like nothing they have felt before and wonder how a 3 liter inline 6 can make so much power, lol. Now they're having a hard time believing that 1 76GTS can make more power than 2 stock twins. Wait until they feel it

 

I usually get the " Stop you're starting to scare me" or " Ok its fast, now slow down"

 

I've taken a few of my co-workers for rides on the rare occasion that I drive the car to work...They usually don't say anything when its in boost and pulling.. After slowing back down, its usually giggly laughter, or silence. All of them say that one ride is enough, its "scary" or "too much".

My car enthusiast friends love it though.

ive had all of those and possibly even 1 person saying all those in order. rofl

few weeks ago i gave my friend a ride home from another buddies and he was pissed drunk.

after i said "shit i think were speeding"
he said "my eyes went all wonky and i got headspins instantly, and i didnt have headspins at all yet tonight wtf" as he was peeling his head off the seat

one time i also gave my cousin from across the country a long cruise in it, and at one point during some twisties followed by a decent straight stretch he literally had his feet up on the dash and looked kinda like fetal position while holding onto the 'oh shit' handle and center console at the same time... it was sooo hilarious (he said many things that SoAngel quoted on that cruise... and many more)

i like the idea of not boosting at all, but theres no way i could do it and rip a person off like that :rofl:
almost everytime i get a new person in there i hang out below like 4k rpm and dont let the car go out of vacuum on the boost guage, then i prolong it as long as possible then i wait for a good time to just floor it in 2nd gear when they arent expecting it. its so god damn hilarious. theres 100% chance they will say or do something absolutely priceless.
its even funnier when the car is in TTC mode and i do that, hp suddenly doubles.
thankfully no one has broken their neck yet or gotten whiplash.

 

My brother in law just laughed his ass off and was like holy shit that was fucking awesome!!! Usually I drive sane and just talk to them and listen to how disappointed they are, like xenon, heh.

I'm sick of explaining my BOV for one. Most people tell me to stop because their neck hurts. It is totally different from the passenger seat when you don't anticipate the boost.

lol...i will say the first time i went for a ride in my friends supra i was scared.... i was repeting "oh shit" almost the whole time..and we didnt even go that fast (but it was because we were in a little car lot)

 

I must be the only one or I must run in a fast crowd, because me, my wife, coworker rode in stock supras and a supposed 450 HP supra and were always like what is the big deal these are weak compared to my Vette. I also had very high expectations coming from my Ls1 powered 240Z. So suffice I was let down. But I think to that the cars I drove in were definately not optimized.

I could see if someone usually drove a taurus, or honda, or normal car, a supra would seem fast.

 

Vettes compared to a supra :crossjerk ya ok! they will never compare supras are just the best i have a mk3 with a 7mgte and i can get enough of it cant imagine a 2jz rode in a cuple and they bought couldnt get me outta the car. Boost = Bliss but even in my mk3 at 15 psi its "holy shit" or "slow down"

Most or damn near all of my friends are scared of my supra. I do drive it aggresivly and usually hit 25psi at least a few times a day when i drive it. Why have a big single and not using it? It's like having a hot blonde and not hitting it in my opinion.

Sister & brother get scared even at 15psi. When the car lurks forward at 35-beyond with the wastegate opening and the sound of hell escapes and the semi going sideways sensation occurs. My sister says her hands, legs will shake everytime.

You must have been a passenger in a bpu car with issues... when my car was still bpu (~450hp) i would destroy stock c5 vettes all the time.

Now when i get revved at by stock vettes i dont even look over, just turn up the music.

 

Honestly... a lot of people are kind of turned off to how dated the interior looks. Am I the only one?

 

i think thats one of the few negative things about the supra.....i like the body but the interior at times can be dated
