I don't have a pic, but Dana Westover's setup is really nice. He just drilled a hole through his license plate. Still street legal(mostly). :bigthumb:

Im not sure what the rules/specs are on it, but if it states nothing in the rule book, then I dont see why you couldnt have some pins or bolts to remove, to slide it out!
anyone know if this is allowed?

you can also use the competition engineering kit from summit racing. Take the rear liscence plate off. The tube comes straight through the body and the chute base points up to get the chute to catch the air over the car. The mounting tube is tig welded to the cage and held in place by cutting the tube in half, inserting a smaller tube inside that is welded to the cage piece and the chute mount is held in place with 2 5/8" grade 8 bolts(tube inside a tube)

It is perfectly legal to have the chute removable... Take the license plate off, drill a hole behind it. Bolt plates to where the factory bumper support used to bolt then weld tubing between the two, mounting the chute in the center. Build a slide together peice so that part of your mount slides inside the tubing, and pin it or bolt it. Now it is completely removable, and when on the street, your plate covers the hole....

on some cars we use fold down plate holders so you dont have to remove the plate, you just fold it down and slide the chute mount in :)
