i like em there. i can actually look over and see all of my gauges instead of looking in 2 or even 3 different. you don't need money to be tasteful. i like my gauges where they are at and if someone else doesn't like where I put MY gauges in MY car who cars if they want to do something different let them go buy one and do something different.

A freind off mine got some yesterday, they where only 1,5cm thick!!!

How the hell does everyone put the 60mm gauge in the ac vent opening? That hole is way bigger than the gauge

I heard someone say its a direct fit so I tried it today but I need some adapter piece to fit it in...

Someone please tell me how to do it.

I put a Greddy 60mm in my left side ac vent (im pretty sure it's a 60mm - its not small)......i did it more than 2yrs ago so i dont remember any hard-core details, but I can tell you that you need to disassemble the ac vent thingy and use it's outer ring/housing some how (take the vent out and gut it).....I just remember screwing with the vent for like 1/2 hr until I managed to get the shit organized with m y gauge in it, and inside the panel.
You should give it a shot if thats where you want it......it looks pretty freakin original/factory in that spot
Oh, I also stuffed a balled up sock inside the vent tubing behind the gauge Keeps the air (hot and cold temps) off the back of the gauge.

Old post but there has to be new set ups out. I have my dash off and am changing the leds, so I need to change my gauges as well.

Any new set ups out there that anyone has done?

I dont understand whats the point of all these gauges. All u need is rpm mph oil ect.. wats with these 10 gauge supras most of which say the same exact thing... talk about annoying

i'm really just interested in putting that defi bf boost gauge where the clock is but it's just a little bit bigger 60mm vs. the clock 52mm. i'm not sure about using other gauges because i hear that most egt etc. etc. are inaccurate. since i'm just gonna go with one gauge at the moment, i want it in the stock clock location.

putting the gauges on the ouside and long the dash imo doesn't look that good, i like it better when it's built into the stock dash, looks very clean!

i put my Boost Gauge in the clock location, i just used a dremel to make the circle a bit bigger.....my wiring reached just fine, but its a Greddy, not a Defi....hope that still helps

the gauges are there to let you know how much boost youre peaking at, how hot your exhaust gas temperatures are, etc. Most gauges that super owners use are there to let us know how something is doing, they all have their unique purpose. Warning features is very useful to help prevent problems (ie. EGT gauge). But if youre stock, then it doesnt really matter.

There are some gauges that are utterly useless, like the A/F Ratio gauge, but all the others are informative for us drivers who want to know whats going on in the car.

I'm also looking for a C/F gauge piller pod. I'd mount the gauges in the dash except I'd like to be able to see them while WOT down the road without looking down. I'm now using ELII gauges from Apexi and like them a great deal so far. Gauges and dash are reverse EL, the SpeedHut reverse EL is a little dim though <sigh>.
