It seems like all we do on here is ask technical questions, and bust each others balls ( which is all fine and dandy don't get me wrong ) but i'd like to see some pics of your supras that you track. I'd like to see how your cages are built, what aerodynamic items have you had success with, ducting in particular, and any and everything else.

i would particularly like to hear more details about these two cars.

I would like to treat this thread more as a Member car profiles so we can see what people are having success with.

I'll be interested to see this summarized in this thread if you get people to post their setups.

I just track mine occasionally for fun, so I have no intention of going "too far" by my estimation, like a cage is not in my plans nor an overly stiff suspension. So for my occasional track fun I have stuff in my sig.

Also, the "custom" ETC FMIC I have is smaller than a Greddy 3 row in an effort to allow more air to pass under it by a couple inches and I plan to put some flat sheet stock, maybe UHMW plastic or thick polyethylene sheet as a duct to assist flow under it to the stock radiator. This FMIC has a 10"H X 26"W X 3-1/2"thk core plus end tanks with 3" in/out nozzles.

My stuff:
PHR1 turbo on IM cast mani w/HKS 60mm GT WG/HKS SSQV + PHR Stg2 fuel/850cc's + ExtremeTurboSys FMIC + gForceECU + MAP ECU + FJO/NTK + Blitz SBCiD + Racelogic TC + Tein HA's + TRDgen2 + Veilside EvoV wheels 18"X 9-1/2"F (+45), 10-1/2"R (+45) + HKS triple disk clutch w/ HKS lwfw + Carbotech XP10 pads-stock rotors

I use my stock wheels on the track. Tires I've used: 245/275 & 255/275 X 17" Kumho Victoracers; 255/275 X 17" Toyo RA-1's; Pirelli Corsa 255/285 X 18"

I'm guessing I'm closer to Nick than most of the road racers in this forum. There's not a whole lot of race tracks in my area, so I'll spend most of my time at autocrosses and Spokane Raceway Park (road course). It's just for fun, and I may only get in 4-7 auto-x events and 3-5 track days per year at most.

Chassis

* 1994 Alpine Silver Hardtop
* Very little weight removal :eek:(

* RPS Max pressure plate
* RPS 6-puck disk
* RPS Segmented Lightened Flywheel

* Greddy Boost Cut Controller
* Cianci Performance gauge pod
* Blitz BLM 60mm Boost Gauge

This was my first time tracking the car. I felt that a track is the best place to safely learn how to drive my Supra to its limits. I left all the suspension settings alone and only played with the tire pressure setting during that day. I hope to start playing around wth the suspension setting on my next track day. I know that a T88 is a bad choice of a turbo for road racing, but I never solely intended to road race the vehicle. Lag was never an issue, controlling the power was. I was running at my lowest boost setting of 20psi at ~600 WHP that day.

Engine & Transmission

* T88 Greddy Turbo Kit
* Titan Cam Gears
* Greddy 4-row FMIC
* RPS CC Clutch
* Custom 4" Turboback exhaust
* NGK 6097 Sparkplugs
* Koyo Radiator
* Twin Zirgo Electric Fans
* Meziere Water Pump
* Moded Oil Pump
* Crower Stage 1 Cams

Electronics & Meters

* AEM ECU
* Greddy Profec B
* TRD Tachometer
* TRD Speedometer
* HKS Chrono Meters (Boost & EGT, to replace old Greddy gauges)

Suspension & Wheels

* HKS Hipermax DRAG
* BBS Gold LM:
(f) 18x8.5 245 40 18 Bridgestone Grid 1
(r) 18x9.5 275 35 18 BF Goodrich Drag Radials

Brakes

* Stock

Body

* Stock

Mods to come:
* Paint Job/Body Work
* TRD LSD
* TRD Sway Bars
* Role Cage
* Better Brake Pads
* Better and Wider Tires
* T61 Swap Turbo (So I can run a smaller turbo for track purposes then switch to my T88 for Drag/Power purposes)

good to see another track person from Vegas....

n
I'm still a neophyte when it comes to driving on the track. I was with Mikey and his 'gang' during that particular day at Spring Mountain Raceway.

And a RHD track supra at that! Any story behind that?
No special story other than an auto enthusiast trying something challenging and different.

Good to see you taking your car to the track. As it seems you know, adjusting the nut behind the wheel makes the most sense in the beginning. :) But don't think that lag and controlling the power aren't related to each other.
