My power steering pump is making a constant noise, not sharp, but the noise is very loud when the car is not warmed up, once it warmed up the noise reduces.... the noise gets louder when i turn my steering wheel from the center... also the noise gets louder when accelerate.... so does that means a bad power steering pump? or it might be a tight power steering belt? Thanks

Mine did the same thing. I just had to replace it. Got annoying and embarassing when I started it up since it was so loud of a whine.

Have you ever cleaned out the PS resovoir? It has a screen at the bottom, at the outlet of the can. It can get gummed up after time, reducing the flow. The PS units themselves usually last the life of the car.

Yeah I checked and it looks alright... I'm pretty sure it's the belt now, maybe I need new belt.. :) Thanks for the help.
