I'm looking for something that I can use for all "purpose" to sand down paint/primer or to polish aluminum up. What is the best kind of tool(brand, model, etc) to go about this? I need something that'll get into small grooves as well.

For the small hard to reach grooves i would say the dremel would be the best bet...To polish that bad boy with a mirror finish..sand down from 200-400-600-800-1000-1500-2000....then use mothers polish......also check this out http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/alpolkit.htm
i just bought this kit, but haven't tried it yet....just want to explore other possibilites..hope that sheds some light
