Tried doing some info on this but only find differences on reservoirs. I purchased the chasebays relocation for this and I have a vvti powersteering pump. It leaks slightly where their low pressure drain returns to the pump. They are saying it's because it's a vvti pump. Are those holes different sizes where the return line enters? Does the pump flow too much compared to non vvti? Just trying to figure this out before purchasing a new pump. Their connection is an O-ring that is held in by an interesting clamp to hold the fitting from pulling out. When my car sits overnight it leaks out of it. I put a rag there overnight and it's soaked when I wake up in the morning. Might just install a bigger O-ring to see if that helps but would love more information on these pumps.

My answer when I asked difference from their end was this.
The reason we recommend it is the VVTI has variable pressure and causes all sorts of issues. So trying to head that off before you run into another issue. My other thought is the pump you got with the engine being aftermarket or reman of sorts and that is why the hole is off a bit.
I took it apart checked O-ring and reassembled. It just seems might need a bigger O-ring (thickness wise) so going to try that to fix leak. But I just wanted to find out if the vvti really had different pressure. I don't want to damage anything on their kit or have their kit not work properly if I really need a non vvti pump. Would just hate to buy one if I don't need it though. This one is brand new. Also mine doesn't look like I have a solenoid on it. Just a plane pump I ordered for a stock is300.
