Pressure in ET Streets

I am trying to get a good pressure to run in my ET Streets. I ran 13lbs before I got the 2-step and ran 1.64 60' times and did not go below 13lbs because of a chance on bogging the motor. I now have only tried 10.5lbs with the 2-step but now I am consistently getting 1.6x 60' times but the tires are spinning. I am just not sure if the tire pressure is too low now and maybe 12-13lbs is the sweet spot for ET Streets. Just looking for someones input on this that has used ET Streets. Thanks

I run anywhere between 10-12 psi...but sometimes when you go down below 11 the tire will spin on the rim. I have not tried rim screws on this setup although I have used them in the past.

Tony, this has nothing to do with tire pressure, but I was wondering which lowering springs you went with and did they have any effect on your 1/4 mile performance? Trap speed(aerodynamics or launch). Any info. you could share would be greatly appreciated.

I never really tried the car out whith the stock setup...I got the car when it was bone stock and I pretty much put the springs on then. I think you can get a better launch with the stock setup but I like the lowered looks too much to go back to stock.

I was going to try and mark my tire and rim to see if that was happening. When I went to the track with the 2-step I immediately went to 10.5lbs and noticed spinning...having to drive the car back and forth a lot in 1st and 2nd gear. After that I tried 10lbs and the same thing happened...I should have just tried my old pressure of 13lbs which is what I guess I will be doing next time. Thanks for the input.

Which springs did you go with?

They are called Intrax...they drop the car about 1.5". If the car was lowered anymore my ET Streets might not fit on so well.

What kind of wheels are you running with the ET Streets?Ive been wanting a set but need some rims that would clear the calipers(And something cheap)

They are 16" BBS Wheels...I have a pic of them on my webpage but it is in the dark...I will try to get better pics of them sometime. If you go to exterior pics and on page 2 is one pic of the BBS wheels.
