Problem with Philip HID Lights

554 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Singapore Supra
Does anyone have an experience with the Philip HID Lights that MVP Sells ? I know it is supposed to be plug and play but so far it has not been. The problem i heard from my mechanic is that the lights will not stay on. It will flash on then disappear.

Thanks in advance.

If your lights do not light, then the polarity is reversed and you will need to rotate the connector 180 degrees.
Joose

i tried that also. Thanks for the tip anyway.
If you have the conector reversed it should light. Are your fuses blowing?

If this is not the case, then you might have gotten a bad set.
Check the fuses...use a 15A fuse for the headlights instead of the 10A one...I've come across some people with this problem and replacing the fuse worked.
most phillips kits come with the conector reversed
the plug the goes to your stock harness just reverse the plug fromthe hid kit!(use it upside down) and it should work!

Ranger, will your HID lights require a 15A fuse instead of the stock 10A? by the way, could you shoot me an email when you receive my check and mail out the lights?

thanks
im using the stock 10amp fuse in my car there should be no need for the 15 amp fuse on my kit if yoiu use the supplyed relay !
