Ok so I go to start up my car and the battery is dead, no big deal just charge it up again cause its been sitting for awhile and away I go.......anyways when I shut the car off again and the turbo timer starts to time down when it finishes it leaves the radio light and clock on but shuts everything else off. When you just hit the power button on the turbo timer to shut it off though, everything shuts off. Did I mess up my wiring somewhere? I'm pretty sure that is why my battery was dead so I'm just trying to find the source  Thanks

I wouldn't think anything would have changed in the wiring just from re-charging the battery. THe only thing I could think that could possibly have happened was a fuse blew..... but if the fuse for the turbo timer blew, I don't think it would've worked at all. :dunno:

Yeah I worded my post poorly. I meant the battery was dead from the turbo timer leaving the clock and what not on.....not that the dead battery made my turbo timer messed up, sorry my bad on that :)

Josh,

I don't have an answer to your TT problem, but trust me, leave the car sitting for a few months and the battery is likely to need a re-charge. If I don't run my car once every couple of weeks, my battery dies too.

Is it still at Jon's or at your place?

I had the same problem with my last Supra and the turbo timer I had then. Every so often it would not shut off completely and the battery would run down. I think it was the dome light that stayed on. I eventually took the thing out. My current Supra has the same timer (same model that is) and it works fine. I'd look to replace it or have someone check out why it leaves the power on like that.

Only time I had that problem was when I left the lights on. When you turn off the car the lights turn off automatically, but with the turbo timer, that wasn't the case????

BTW, I believe he has Blitz guages.

Guido: Are you saying nothing is wired incorrectly its just my turbo timer once in awhile will PMS and I just have to watch for it?

banton: Yeah man its still at Jon's hiding in the garage :D btw, your car as it sits has part of my intake on it, namely my HKS filter, so don't junk it cause I need it back eventually ;) not too soon, more like when I get home from wyoming :( also i always turn my headlights off manually so I don't know about the turbo timer shutting them off or not but it was just the clock and the cd player lights that were left on

and yeah, i got the blitz gauges......really sexy at night time :)

oh yeah, my battery is brand new too so I hope it doesn't need a re-charge

It may be a race to see if my car gets out of the shop before you get back for good:( ;) Actually, my car is supposed to go on the dyno for some final tuning on Monday, but we will see if it works out that way. BTW, not to worry, I got a replacement intake sitting in my garage to swap with the one Chris borrowed off your car:p
