Regularly, when i take off the engine oil cap, i can see small puffs of smoke coming out of the engine. Is that a bad thing or not. I recently did an oil change and used 15w50 mobil oil.

Yes its normal, you prabably just took it off when the motor was still hot.

Actually you should see no smoke coming from your oil filler oil. Thats blowbye. Pull the dip stick if you see alot its pretty bad. hince rings and such.

Damn I knew my engine was shot to hell:doh: and with the brown/white gue in the filler cap, and now BHG :lol: still runs thought, but I need another engine really bad

Does it happen at any particular time or weather? Does it happen right after the oil is changed? Or maybe as its getting closer to time to change the oil? Have you noticed any patterns of when it smokes as opposed to when it doesnt?

:lol: I've been real easy the last 3months on the car, and lately I just use my car to work and back. 10 minutes by day, 5 days a week)don't use it on the week end) the temp needle don't even have the time to move. when I come back yes the temp start rising a bit. even if the radiator is still cold, coolant start rising in the overflow, makes bulble sometimes. I shut the engine before coolant pill out of the over flow. Anyway, next week car enter the bodyshop and as soon as it come out it goes in storage.

I don't care about this engine, I'm getting a JDM this winter. Maybe I will rebuilt this one, but later.

has for the smoke from the oil filler hole. i can make the engine run 5 minutes, stall it, remove the filler cap and white smoke come out. Everytime the engine was hot smoke will come out.
