Has anyone had problems with there crankshaft pulley breaking off the keyway? Mine broke through the keyway and starting rattling around smacking into the motor. I thought the sound was a floated valve. anyway I put some new keyway on (I didnt know what size to get) that kinda fit, put some JB weld and lock tight on the pulley screw. I have had a bad fan clutch and my water pump pulley cant turn as fast as the engine above 3000rpms and starts to squeel. I suspect that is the cause. And finally I got a fan clutch in the mail today (thanks DrJ) will put it in tomorrow, and I wanted to fix the pulley again. What type of keyway should I use?

Thanks
Josh

get the woodruff key from toyota. that pulley requires a 195 ft/lb torque. Your JB weld/loctite is a really bad idea.
