Hey so I'm about to pull my 7mgte.
I followed the 49 steps to remove the engine I just have 1 thing I wanna run buy you guys regarding
"Removing the deiveshaft"
If some people have removed the trans without removing the driveshaft by just dropping the center brace with the bearing and pulling out the shaft still bolted to the diff.

Could I theoretically do something similar but just leaving everything bolted on the driveshaft and have the trans just slide out of the driveshaft when I pull the engine and trans as a whole?

Possible? Yes. But then you have something else to dick around with while you're trying to hoist a motor and transmission out. Take the extra 15 minutes to pull the drive shaft and save yourself the extra 30 minutes of fighting it.
