For those of you that have swapped in 1jz . How hard would it be to wire everything up to get the engine running. This would be going into a older early 70's vehicle. The mechanical part and fuel wouldnt be a problem just the wiring to get it running, just wanted to get an idea of how difficult it would be if I purchased a 1jz with wiring harness and ecu.

The wiring is pretty simple actually. Its a couple of relays like Main, Fuel, Starter etc and a half dozen fuses. Pretty simple actually. Mine is in a 72 Celica. I am swapping over to the 2J electronics to swap over to a AEM in the future.

I have a friend with one in an 80's Volvo. And another friend with a 2j in a BMW. So, as long as you know how to read a wiring diagram it can be done.

its probably easier than putting one in a mk3 as far was wiring and such goes. Run aftermarket gauges and make a spot for the CEL for shur though.
