Hrrm.. recently my car has been making a high pitched rattle/whine at idle/VERY low speeds (1-5mph), and I can't figure it out. Belts are all fine, motor runs no different than normal, no hesitation. The sound goes away when I give the car gas or start moving, and it only happens while sitting at idle - moreso during cold weather (mornings, evenings, etc), it seems. And it seems to be coming from under the car (not right side or left side exclusively). I know the TTs have a chatter b/c of the flywheel, but I don't know if the n/a's do or not? And it's high-pitched, but there's definitely a rattle/chatter/whine sound to it. Any ideas on what I should check for? Thanks, guys. :)

Nope, only giving it gas makes the noise go away.

Hehehe, I read your post about that, and it was starting to freak me out for a bit. But pushing the clutch in does nothing for the noise.
