This is just simple im looking for people who are and have used a WB sensor setup to tell me if you leave your sensor in or take it out and plug it up? I heard that the sensors can go bad if you leave them in the exhaust stream for long periods of time?

thanks

Most systems use the Bosch LSU 4.2. This sensor is an OEM application. It is permanately mounted in factory built cars with warrantys. Mine is permanately mounted, I'll be replacing it occasionally just like a normal O2 sensor.

modern wideband sensors are good for a long time, like chev said.

you cant leave the sensor in the exhaust if you are going to unplug it from your WB though.
